From March to October every year, WalkMashatu invites guests to explore the reserve on guided walking safaris that bring the wilderness to life in remarkable detail. Learning about the delicate web of life that sustains this remarkable ecosystem – from the spoor of a leopard to the intricate patterns of an insect or the scent of a wild herb – every walk reveals something enlightening.

Each trail accommodates a maximum of six guests and is led by an experienced guide, with routes tailored to individual fitness levels and interests.

Night Under the Stars offers one of Mashatu’s most unforgettable experiences and is available year-round as an additional activity. Guests depart their lodge on an afternoon game drive, arriving at the WalkMashatu Fly Camp with an overnight bag in hand. As night falls, dinner and drinks are enjoyed fireside, followed by night photography, storytelling, or a short-guided walk beneath the vast Botswana sky.

Sleep out in custom designed tents, offering camping comforts beneath a canopy of stars — a simple yet transformative experience that connects you to the raw beauty of nature. The following morning begins with a light breakfast before setting off on a sunrise game drive back to your lodge for brunch.
